Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade my graphics card from a 3060ti and could really use your recommendations. I have an 11th Gen Intel i9-11900 CPU and currently struggle to maintain high frame rates in new games, often getting only 60-80 fps. My ideal target is to hit around 120+ fps on high/medium settings. For example, I'm running Death Stranding 2 around mid 60s to high 50s on medium settings with some highs mixed in. I can spend about $700-$900 AUD, so any advice on what I should upgrade to would be super appreciated! 🙂

Honestly, if you can wait for the new RTX 9070 Ti slated for 2030, you might get a better deal. But if you need something now, look into the RX 7900 GRE or RTX 4070, as they should handle new games much better than your current setup.

You might consider the 7800 XT. I've had one for a while, and it's been fantastic in terms of performance. It should definitely help you get closer to that 120 fps mark you're aiming for.

I'd avoid the RTX 4060 Ti since it's basically a sidegrade. You're better off with something in the RX 7900 line for more VRAM and better performance to hit that 120 fps target in modern games.

What's the wattage of your power supply? Upgrading to a more powerful GPU will require a beefier power supply, so just keep that in mind!

For your budget, I'd suggest looking at the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB. It's one of the best $/fps options right now and should give you a significant performance boost. If you're aiming for even higher performance, consider the RX 9070 16GB; it’s a little pricier but worth it for the performance you’d gain. Just make sure to check local prices!
