I'm looking for a Linux distribution that works smoothly for gaming on some really outdated hardware: an i3-3220, GT610, and 12GB of RAM. I've had a rough time with Arch Linux due to endless driver issues and constant troubleshooting, which is driving me crazy. My experience with it has been frustrating, especially since I can't get basic things like audio and proper resolution to work right. I used to enjoy Pop!_OS, but my current setup feels like a real downgrade after some financial difficulties. I really just want a distro that works out-of-the-box, like Windows did, without needing to mess around with the terminal or lots of driver handling. Any suggestions on what distro could give me a smoother gaming experience without all the hassles?

You might want to check different distro options like Regata OS or Drauger OS too. They might cater better to your gaming needs, and could be worth a shot if you're still struggling!
Have you looked into Nobara? I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard it’s tailored for gaming and should perform well on older hardware. Just keep in mind, I'm still getting used to Linux, so take my advice with a pinch of salt.
It’s tough to game with that GT610 since it’s not very powerful by today's standards. If you're okay with retro gaming, you might want to look into distros like Batocera or Lakka for a simpler experience. If you want a more general-purpose system, I'd recommend going for Linux Mint. It's reliable and easy to use while still allowing you to game with some emulators on the side.
You should check out Bazzite! It's super user-friendly and perfect for gaming. You just install it and everything works without needing much setup. It has all the necessary drivers and is stable, so you can focus on playing your games. They have different environments available, but I recommend the KDE version since it feels the most like Windows. Plus, for Minecraft, the Prism launcher works great!
Honestly, if you can, try ditching the GT610 and using the integrated Intel graphics instead. They tend to have better driver support on Linux, which might resolve a lot of the issues you're facing. Just a thought!
