Hey everyone! I just remembered that I have an AWS account, but I've never really used it. I'm quite worried about accidentally accumulating charges. Are there steps I can take to prevent this? Is there an easy way to stop all processes, check current charges, or even freeze my account temporarily? Or would it be better to just delete or close my account altogether? If I do close it, will I still receive any bills? Thanks for your help! Also, is it easy to inadvertently start services that would lead to charges?

A good tip is to set up a budget alert using CloudWatch. Just keep in mind that it might not be real-time, so someone could rack up charges before you're notified. Better to be prepared!
Honestly, if you're not using it, just close the account. It’s hassle-free to make a new one if you need it later.
If you don't plan to use your AWS account, closing it is the safest route. It's easy to reopen if you decide to use AWS later.
