I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup, primarily focusing on my GPU, so I can enjoy more modern games with decent frame rates. I'd love to get your opinions on the best GPU I can fit into my system without needing to change my motherboard. Also, should I consider upgrading other components as well? Here are my current specs:
- Motherboard: MSI B550-A Pro
- Power Supply: EVGA 850W Bronze
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
- Current GPU: RX 5700 XT

Your MSI B550 can handle pretty much any GPU you throw at it! If you’re looking at options like the 6800 XT or RTX 3070, they would be fantastic for gaming. Just consider if you plan on streaming or need high framerate for competitive play; that might make you want to upgrade your CPU too, but for now, focus on the GPU!
Hey, do you have any Microcenter stores nearby? They often have great deals on hardware and could save you some money on that GPU upgrade.
I'd recommend going for a new GPU for sure. If you have at least 16GB of RAM, that's great! Considering your budget is ideally under $1000, I'd suggest looking at the 6800 XT or perhaps a used 3060 Ti if you're okay with that. Both should give you a solid performance boost for modern games.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't mention it at first, but I do have 16GB of RAM. I’m not limited by budget but want to stay under $1000 if possible.
