I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 11 using a USB installation, and ever since, the performance has been terrible. It takes almost a full minute to launch any program, and my download speeds are really slow. I've tested my WiFi connection, and it's not an issue on that end. What tips or tricks can I use to improve my computer's performance?

It could also be that your Windows 11 installation needs some tweaking. Try turning off core isolation in Windows Defender or toggling GPU scheduling on and off to see if things improve. Sometimes, simply reinstalling or updating drivers can make a huge difference too. Let us know if you need help finding those!

Sometimes, the slowdown happens due to Windows' SmartScreen feature checking files for safety before launching them. Try disconnecting from the internet and see if your programs open faster. If they do, that might be what’s causing the wait.

I've had a similar issue after a fresh Windows 11 install—it turned out I was missing some critical drivers, which made everything sluggish. Make sure you install the right chipset and network drivers from the manufacturer’s website. And just a heads up, if Windows is installed on an HDD instead of an SSD, that would definitely slow things down too.

Have you checked your Task Manager while trying to run programs? Look under the Performance tab to see if anything is maxed out, like RAM or CPU. If your RAM is full, your computer will slow down because it's using the disk instead, which is much slower. Also, if you upgraded just before these issues started, it might be worth considering downgrading back to a previous version that worked better.

First off, could you share your computer's specs? Just type "system" to check your system information, and let us know about your processor and how much RAM you have. This info can really help narrow down the issue.
