Which GPU Should I Choose for My New PC Build: 9070XT or 5070TI?

I'm putting together a gaming PC with a budget of £2000, primarily for 1440p gaming. I'm considering using the 9800X3D CPU, but I'm torn between getting the 9070XT, which is about £250 cheaper, or the 5070TI. Given that I'm building this setup mainly for gaming, what's the best GPU to pair with the 9800X3D? Are there any other recommendations?

I prefer the 5070TI, but the price is over $1000 here, which is tough to justify.

Definitely check out clearance deals! I found a 5070TI for about £629 at CCL, much cheaper than retail, but it was B-grade. Deals pop up occasionally if you're persistent in looking!

Do these deals happen frequently? The lowest I see right now is around £800.

I went with a slightly cheaper CPU, the 7800X3D, paired with the 5070TI, and I'm really happy with my 1440p performance. I'm getting frame rates between 120 and 190 for high-end games like Arc Raiders and KCD2. If you're focused on gaming, that combo works great!

That's good to know! The 7800X3D is only £50 less than the 9800, so I thought sticking with the 9800 might be better.

With the £250 you save, you could grab another SSD for more game storage; that could be a smart investment!

That's what I was thinking too, not convinced the price of the 5070TI is worth it.

I'd recommend the 9070XT if you're looking to save money. It should still perform well enough for 1440p gaming and you'd have extra budget for other components.
