I've been building PCs for a few years now, and this will be my fourth one. I've had some financial challenges, so while I bought a case, motherboard, PSU, and RAM three to four years ago, I just got around to purchasing a CPU and GPU today. My motherboard is an Aorus B450 AM4. The components have been in the case the entire time, but I live in an older home in northern UK where humidity isn't friendly, leading to a bit of rust and oxidation on the top of the case. I checked, and the motherboard looks good, with hardly any dust inside. Besides grabbing a can of compressed air and maybe a new CMOS battery, should I be concerned about anything else?

I wouldn't stress either. I live near the coast, and my old rig has slight rust on the outside, but the internal components worked like a charm.
As long as the connectors on the motherboard pins look okay, it should be fine after a quick dust-off. You might not even need the new CMOS battery.
You're good! Don't let haters bring you down for asking genuine questions. I think you’ll be just fine with your setup.
You should be good! I have previously bought older hardware and everything functioned perfectly. The age of the board shouldn’t be an issue, especially since it’s been in the case rather than just lying around.
Honestly, I wouldn’t worry. I left my case sides off for three years, and everything still ran fine when I put it back together. Just be cautious, but don't stress too much!

I've heard the battery could be dead after sitting for so long, so I think it’s worth the few bucks to replace it. Thanks!
