I'm contemplating whether to buy a GPU from a friend—a Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti for 3,500 PHP, or an Aisurix RX 580 2048SP for 5,600 PHP. My total budget is around 5,700 PHP right now. If I go for the 1050 Ti, I could allocate some cash for other upgrades to my PC, like an SSD and a better case for airflow. On the other hand, I could get the RX 580 and slowly purchase upgrades later. It's a tough choice, and I could use some advice on which path to take!

I'd recommend going for the RX 580. You might sacrifice some other upgrades for now, but it typically offers 30-50% more performance compared to the 1050 Ti. Maximizing your GPU's potential within your budget is key!

Totally agree, but keep in mind that the extra cash could snag you a nice SSD, which can really speed up daily tasks. I went for a slower GPU at first and upgraded later, and I’ve never regretted it. Maybe see if your friend can hold onto that 1050 Ti for a little while while you decide?
