I'm on the hunt for a headless newsletter management platform. I've come across several options, but they all seem poorly designed or outdated. My initial plan was to utilize Resend for everything and set up a signup form, switching to Amazon SES later on. However, I found out that dealing with bounce rates and having click-through analytics is really important, and I don't want to tackle that coding myself. Plus, the person writing the emails isn't very tech-savvy.
Right now, I have a landing page ready in Astro, and I'd like to incorporate an archive. We're planning to only send out newsletters for now—nothing else. Does anyone know of a CMS that has good integration or any alternatives, even if they come with a subscription fee?

You should explore wraps.dev/platform. It's designed for the kind of setup you're describing, offering bounce tracking and click analytics without any coding hassle. It includes a visual editor for your email writer, runs on SES, and has an in-built newsletter archive. It's frustrating to DIY analytics, so this could save you a lot of trouble. You can either manage triggers programmatically with Astro or use their UI for scheduled emails.
Check out BigMailer, EmailOctopus, and Brevo. BigMailer is great for teams and comes with SES integration. EmailOctopus is user-friendly and offers a low-cost option with SES too. Brevo focuses on automation and has CRM capabilities, which could be useful for your needs.

I find it amusing that you think you'll get a good deal there. The pricing is way higher compared to competitors, and let's not even start on the aesthetics—what a mess! It seems like they're just hopping on the AI bandwagon with flashy designs that actually don't work well.
