I'm really stuck trying to get rid of this Yahoo redirect virus that keeps taking over Google Chrome. I've tried just about every method I could find online, but nothing seems to work. I can't even uninstall Chrome because it doesn't show up in the Task Manager since it's not running. I thought about using Revo Uninstaller to help with that, but Chrome isn't listed there either. This is frustrating because I've dealt with this issue a few years back and it was resolved easily, but this time, I just can't figure it out. I don't have any extensions installed, and Google is set as my default browser.

Sounds like you might have some persistent malware on your machine. For a virus like that, the best bet is usually a dedicated malware remover. Check out some guides to remove malware; they might help you figure out how to clean your system up properly.
What exactly do you mean by Yahoo redirect virus? I haven’t come across that term before. Are you saying whenever you open Chrome, it redirects your searches to Yahoo? If that's the case, it might be a setting that needs to be changed, or possibly some hidden malware.

Yes! That’s exactly what’s happening. The first thing that opens is Google, but whenever I search for something, it just redirects me to Yahoo, and I can’t figure out why it’s happening.
