Help! Fresh Install of Windows 11 and My WiFi and Bluetooth Aren’t Working

Hey everyone! I recently did a fresh install of Windows 11 on my laptop because it was running slow. I created a bootable USB and followed the setup instructions, which went smoothly until I reached the network settings phase. For some reason, it didn't detect any networks, even though my WiFi was functioning properly. I decided to set everything up without the internet. However, once I got into Windows, there were no WiFi or Bluetooth icons; it felt like they just disappeared! The network connections folder is completely blank and I noticed all the drivers in the device manager have a yellow exclamation mark on them. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, but that hasn't solved the issue. I even downloaded the latest drivers from ASUS on another PC and attempted to install them on my laptop via USB, but I couldn't figure out the proper installation process after extracting them and restarting. I think I might have downloaded the wrong drivers for my ASUS Vivobook, so I'd really appreciate any advice on how to fix this! Thanks!

If you click on 'Show all' under the networking section, it will display multiple drivers. Laptops usually come with various network cards, so it’s worth trying different drivers, like Realtek or Mediatek, to see which one works.

You’ll need to manually install your drivers. A trick is to use your phone's internet via USB tethering to get online and update the drivers directly from there. It’s a quick fix that can save you some hassle.

You should connect your laptop directly with an Ethernet cable. This way, Windows should automatically install the missing drivers via Windows Update. If you prefer, you can also download the drivers straight from the manufacturer’s support page. Just make sure to check your model number as different configurations may require different drivers.

When you use a stock Windows image created by the media creation tool, it often misses out on essential drivers like chipset drivers. Be sure to grab all the drivers from the page you linked and click 'Show all' in each section to reveal everything. Sometimes, you might need the Mediatek drivers instead of the Realtek ones for WiFi and Bluetooth. Installing the chipset drivers first is critical since they help your hardware communicate properly.
