I'm noticing a Powershell window popping up as soon as my computer starts, but it disappears almost immediately. I'm not sure what's causing it or how to fix it. Any ideas?

I’ve heard that the MS Office click-to-run task can cause this too—in case it’s not Powershell but something similar popping up like a terminal. Just a possibility!
It’s likely a startup program or script that's running when you boot up your computer. You should be able to track it down pretty easily.
Another angle to explore is the system logs—those could give you the exact cause. If you want to get rid of it, go to Task Manager and see if anything’s set up to launch at startup. Disabling any Terminal entries could work, but be careful since it might not show up there.
Could be malware, too. Just a thought, but definitely worth checking out! You might find others with similar issues on forums related to this.
It could be anything! The best way to figure it out is by enabling Powershell logging to check the system logs afterwards. Here’s a quick guide: 1) Enable Powershell Script Logging. 2) Restart your PC to let the script run and log the info. 3) Check the Event Viewer to find the log details. Let us know what you find! Also, if there’s no log but you still see the window, it could actually be cmd.exe acting up instead, so check that too.
Exactly! Just ensure you follow the logging process accurately. There's a chance that the script could be running through other means like scheduled tasks or registry entries.

Not sure if Terminal will actually show up in the Startup apps, though. There are various other places scripts can be triggered from, like Scheduled Tasks or the Registry. Just check thoroughly before disabling anything.
