Upgrading RAM for My PC: What Should I Get?

I'm not super knowledgeable about computer components, but both of my RAM sticks crashed recently. Originally, my PC had 2 sticks of 8GB RAM (16GB total), and I'm curious if now is a good time to upgrade to 2 sticks of 16GB instead. The original RAM is labeled as 2666MHz, but I see a lot of options that are 2600MHz. Would those work for me, or should I specifically look for 2666MHz sticks? Also, what about 3000MHz sticks—should I avoid them? I'm really unsure and would appreciate any guidance.

You can absolutely replace your RAM! Using faster RAM is fine; it just might not run at the max speed. Generally, it should work at 2666MHz, but you may need to adjust the settings in your BIOS to achieve that speed. Don't stress too much about using 3000MHz; it should still work at 2666MHz without issues.

So it's okay to use 3000MHz RAM then? And how do I tune it manually in the BIOS?
