Nvidia Driver Compatibility Issues After Windows Clean Install

I recently installed a new hard drive and did a clean installation of Windows. Now, I'm trying to set up the drivers for my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, but I'm running into issues. The installation keeps saying that the driver isn't compatible, even though I've selected the correct one from the Nvidia website. I've tried both the Studio and Gaming versions, but the problem persists. I feel like I must be missing something—any suggestions?

Just to help anyone else who might stumble on this, I also fixed my issue by heading to the EU site. The older versions offered there worked perfectly for me. Not sure why, but downloading that release did the job!

From what I know, the GTX 10 series has been declared end-of-life, meaning the latest drivers might not support them. You may need to find and download an older version from a reliable source to get it working again.

I ended up finding the drivers on the EU website, which had older versions. I downloaded one from October 2025, and it's finally installing! I guess being in the EU made a difference for some reason—a bit odd, right?

Have you tried using the Nvidia GeForce Experience app? It automatically manages your drivers for you instead of having to pick them manually, which can be a hassle nowadays. It's a lot simpler than sifting through the website like we used to back in the day!

I figured it out to some extent. I went to the EU website and found older drivers that actually worked for me. It's strange, but it did the trick! Thanks for your reply!

Thanks for the suggestion, but it looks like that app isn’t supported for my setup, unfortunately.
