I built a new computer last summer, and I've been having stability issues, particularly while playing Unreal Engine 5 games like Ready or Not. The CPU seems to be the main problem. After tweaking some settings in XTU, I had a couple of months of smooth sailing, but recently, the issues have returned. I've tried resetting BIOS settings, and while lowering the CPU multiplier from 57x to 54x offers some temporary relief, unexpected shutdowns cause the settings to revert back to the defaults. Even with my latest attempts, like factory resetting the system and tweaking calibration control in the BIOS, I'm still worried. Although Memtest86 and other diagnostics show that my RAM and GPU are fine, the CPU temps hit 100°C during stress tests. I'm not sure how to properly undervolt the CPU for stability. Can anyone provide concrete advice or remedies for this situation?

You might want to look into RMA'ing your CPU at this point. It's a known issue with the i9-14900K, and Intel will replace faulty units. Also, ensuring your BIOS is updated can sometimes help prevent future issues. Just a thought, but if it’s already unstable, swapping it might save you a lot of headaches down the line!
Have you checked for any crash dump files? Those can really help figure out what's going wrong. If you can boot into Windows or Safe Mode, see if there are any in C:WindowsMinidump. Zipping them up and sharing could give us a clearer picture of the issue. If you're short on zip tools, just right-click on the folder, choose 'Send to' and then pick 'Compressed (Zipped) folder.' That might lead you to a solution!

Yeah, I've read that replacement processes can be a hassle too, but it might be worth it if the CPU is causing all these problems.
