I've got an iPhone 17 Pro that's gone through about 97 charge cycles, but I'm surprised that it barely lasts 6 hours a day. My old iPhone 13 Pro, even at 83% battery health, performs similarly. Am I dealing with a faulty device, or is this just typical marketing hype?

It sounds like a battery issue, but also check your power usage breakdown. Are you using optimized charging? This could make a difference.
You might want to share your battery usage screen. That could help pinpoint any problem areas.
Here’s a screenshot of my battery usage: https://imgur.com/a/2rLzbfB. I started facing these issues even before I got the Oura Ring.

I've got optimized charging. For today, I watched Instagram for an hour, plus background apps using 25% battery. My Oura Ring is at 10%, Google at 6%, TikTok at 5%, music at 4%, with others just a few percent each. I only managed 5h 24m of screen time and started at 100% this morning, but now I'm down to 5%.
