I'm building my first PC and I've done a lot of research on compatible parts, but I'm still unsure if everything will work well together. My primary use for this build will be gaming. Here's the list of components I'm considering:
1. CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor
2. CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM
3. Motherboard: MSI MAG X870 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5
4. Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
5. Storage: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 1 TB M.2 NVMe SSD
6. Video Card: Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC SFF GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB
7. Case: Corsair FRAME 4000D RS ARGB ATX Mid Tower
8. Power Supply: Corsair RM750e 750 W Fully Modular ATX
9. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11 Home OEM - DVD 64-bit

Overall, the cost is about $2928.75. I'm particularly worried about potential bottlenecks or if any of these parts are overpriced. Any tips would be appreciated!

Hey! It looks like you might be overpaying for some components. For instance, I found a different CPU and GPU combo that’s $100 cheaper and arguably better. Also, I think you could save on the motherboard, RAM, storage, and power supply. Definitely check other retailers to compare prices!

Your list seems mostly solid, but you're definitely paying too much for the RAM and SSD. That RAM at $596 is hefty, and the SSD isn't the best deal at $339. Consider going for a decent B650 motherboard. Save some cash there and maybe invest in a 5070 Ti or 7800X3D for better gaming performance. Don't worry too much about bottlenecks; focus on getting the best price-to-performance parts instead!

Thanks for the info! I honestly have no clue how much each part should actually cost so this is really helpful 🙂

I recommend checking out Microcenter if you can visit one. They have great CPU/Mobo/RAM bundles for a better price! Also, consider getting the 3D variant of the CPU for gaming instead of the regular one. As for the cooler, the Phantom Spirit is a solid choice and often cheaper than the Peerless. If you're looking to save money, you might want to skip the OS on the list since many games can be run without it initially.
