After some gaming, my PC suddenly refused to turn on. Here are my specs: Ryzen 5600 processor, TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (Wi-Fi) motherboard, 6950xt GPU, and an 850w PSU. I've taken a few steps to troubleshoot: I thought it was the PSU, but replacing it didn't help. I also tried a different GPU, but there's still no change. I don't have another motherboard or CPU to swap in, but I did change the CMOS battery and reset using a 2-pin short, with no success. I even moved the RAM around, but nothing seems to be working.
What's strange is that when I remove the CPU, the motherboard RGB lights up, but it switches off when I put the CPU back in and lock it in place. When I attempt to boot, two chips get extremely hot, but there are no fans or LEDs powering on. Any suggestions before I dive into purchasing a new motherboard, hoping it's not the CPU?

Have you checked what cooler you're using? Also, make sure your PSU is sufficient for your build. Sometimes, CPU pins can get bent or damaged, so it’s worth checking that too! You might also want to try draining the power from the system. Just unplug the PSU cord and hold the power button on the case for about 15-30 seconds to see if that helps.
PSU is a SeaSonic Electronics FOCUS GX ATX 3.1 850W 80 PLUS, and the CPU is a 5600x. No bent pins detected, but I'll try the power drain!
Just an update here: it turned out to be the CPU that failed. Everything else seemed to be fine. Really frustrating that it broke right at the 4-year mark!

Did you take out the components with the PSU still powered on? Sometimes that can cause issues.
