I've got a pre-built PC that suddenly started giving me massive FPS drops—now I'm averaging just 10 FPS in games like Overwatch and Zenless Zone Zero. Initially, I had a stable 60 FPS. I haven't changed anything in my setup, and I've run a virus scan, checked for overheating (temps are fine), and monitored my resource usage. Here are my specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-4770, GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060, Motherboard: STGAUBRON Intel B85, and my power supply is a CORSAIR CX650M. My monitor is definitely connected to the graphics card. I'm looking for suggestions on what could be wrong, and if I should consider upgrading the motherboard, any recommendations?

It sounds like your system is getting a bit aged, especially with that Intel i7-4770. Check that your monitor is connected to the GPU, not the motherboard graphics. Also, ensure you're using the 3060 and not defaulting to the integrated graphics. Have you checked your CPU and GPU temps separately? Also, keep an eye on their usage levels during gaming.
You might want to consider a clean reinstall of Windows if everything else fails. Often that can resolve unseen conflicts that software updates have caused. However, if your hardware is struggling with newer games, it could be time to look into a budget-friendly motherboard and CPU upgrade to get more longevity out of your setup.
I did a clean install, and nope, no luck—it’s super frustrating!
Given that your setup is quite old, I recommend checking the game's system requirements. Sometimes updates can introduce unexpected issues. Have you tried rolling back your graphics drivers to see if that helps? A clean install made no difference, right? It could also be worth looking into potential bottlenecks with your PSU; if it’s as old as your motherboard, it might be worth upgrading that as well.
I did try rolling back the drivers, unfortunately, that didn't help either.

Yes, I have 16GB of RAM and made sure my monitor is connected to the GPU. Pretty weird how this happened out of nowhere!
