Hey everyone! I just graduated from high school and am eager to jump into the tech world, especially full-stack development. However, I've encountered a big issue. The online courses I've researched all seem overly promotional, making it sound like I could become a senior developer in just a few weeks, but I feel like the content doesn't really match up with that claim. I'm looking for a more comprehensive path and not just surface-level skills like centering a div or creating a basic React app. Here's what I really want to learn:
- Full stack development including Frontend, Backend, and Databases
- A strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms from the start
- In-depth knowledge of AI and ML integration, beyond just using APIs
- A solid understanding of Data Science and analytics
- A respected degree or certification, since I'm just starting out
Is there a program out there that can cover all these areas? Or am I just dreaming? I'm really determined to work hard and want something that's academically rigorous.

If you're serious about full-stack, starting with a Computer Science degree would be ideal. It helps you stand out in job applications. But if you're looking for alternatives, YouTube offers a wealth of information—you just need to be self-disciplined and build projects without relying too heavily on content from paid courses.
Check out The Odin Project, it’s a fantastic free resource with no sales fluff. It also covers useful skills like terminal commands and Linux. It’s a great place to get started! Good luck!
You should try fullstackopen.com. It's highly recommended and is well-received for its comprehensive approach!
Make sure to look for courses on platforms like Udemy or CBT Nuggets. They often have experienced instructors and well-structured content. Just keep in mind that AI, ML, and Data Science are pretty distinct fields within software development—they're not just add-ons to web development!
You might want to check out FreeCodeCamp and BroCode on YouTube. Start with BroCode for the basics, then dive deeper with FreeCodeCamp—it’s a great way to get a solid foundation!
