Seeking Advice on Building a Budget Gaming PC

I'm looking to build my first PC and have my sights set on a configuration with an RX 580 8GB graphics card and a Ryzen 5 5600 processor. I have a few questions: Will there be any bottleneck issues with this setup? Are there better alternatives at a lower price point? Also, which motherboard should I consider for this build, and is it necessary to use DDR5 RAM, or is DDR4 sufficient? Thanks for the help!

If you're looking for a better deal, you might want to check for second-hand components. Building a budget PC often involves hunting for good used parts. But your current setup should still work fine for entry-level gaming! Remember, the Ryzen 5 5600 uses DDR4 RAM, so there's no need to go for the more expensive DDR5 right now.

For a first build, you’re on the right track! You definitely want a motherboard compatible with that Ryzen CPU—go with something that supports AM4 sockets. And you're perfectly fine sticking with DDR4; it’s more cost-effective and still provides great performance. As for bottlenecks, it really depends on what you’re planning to do with it—just make sure to balance your components.

Sounds like a solid build! As for bottlenecking, there can always be some level of it, but if you're meeting your gaming needs, it shouldn't be a big deal. For the motherboard, make sure to get one that supports the Ryzen 5 5600 and uses DDR4, as that's what you'll need for your RAM. And don't stress about perfect airflow immediately, just keep an eye on temps until you can add an exhaust fan to optimize cooling.
