Help! My PSU Doesn’t Fit in My PC Case Properly

I'm putting together my first PC, and I ran into a strange issue with the power supply unit (PSU). I got a free case a while back, and now that I'm buying parts, I bought an ATX PSU. However, it seems like the PSU is too 'small' in a way. It sits flush against the case, but the mounting holes don't align with the screws at all. Is this something that's normal? Should I be looking for a bigger PSU, or is there something else going on here?

I think your case might be missing a mounting plate that allows it to align properly with the PSU. I found a picture of a similar setup; it seems to have a bracket that holds the PSU in place. You could even reach out to the manufacturer to see if they have a spare.

Have you tried flipping the PSU around? If it fits but the holes don’t line up, you might just have it upside down. Make sure you provide more details about your components for better assistance.

Could you share the model of your case and your PSU? Sometimes, a mismatch in case sizes can cause these issues. A photo would help too!
