I'm having a problem with my PC after enabling XMP for my RAM. It was crashing in games, so I decided to lower the settings, but now I'm stuck with just a black screen. I have 2 sticks of 8 GB DDR4 RAM. The fans are spinning, and everything seemed fine before I activated XMP. What should I do to get my PC back up and running?

Resetting the CMOS could be a good move. This will return your BIOS settings to default. If your XMP profile is causing problems, you might also consider bumping the DDR voltage up slightly—maybe try increasing from 1.35V to around 1.37V. If it doesn't boot with XMP, just turn it off for now.
You might want to try adjusting the DRAM voltage to 1.4V to see if that helps stabilize things. Sometimes just a little tweak can make a difference.
Tried that, but I'm still getting no signal on my display.
Do you remember what the settings were before you turned on XMP? You could try booting with just one stick of RAM. There’s usually a specific slot for the initial setup, so check your motherboard manual for that. Sometimes RAM does fail, so if the single stick works, try using CPU-Z to check the memory timings. XMP typically works well, but the right voltage range is key. 1.4 to 1.45 volts should be safe, but don’t exceed 1.5V. If nothing works, consider running Memtest86+ to diagnose potential RAM issues.
I really doubt the RAM is bad since it’s brand new, but I don’t have spare sticks to test.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot.
