I'm having trouble with my Zebra printers; they won't hold the SNMP string after I try to set it. We're trying to get these printers recognized during a network scan, but it seems like the settings aren't sticking. Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Any suggestions would be really helpful!

Just a heads-up, to save a configuration on Zebra printers like the ZT410 or ZT611, you actually need to power them off after you set it. I found that out the hard way—and it seems like a bit of a silly design! So, once you enter your new settings, turn off the printer and then turn it back on to save those changes. Just keep in mind that this might vary based on the model and firmware.
Zebra printers are notorious for being finicky, right? Honestly, I switched all mine out for a different brand that were a lot cheaper and had way fewer issues. They just worked better right off the bat, and I couldn't be happier with the switch. Just something to consider if you're having ongoing problems.
Make sure to save the current configuration after changing the SNMP settings. Also, you need to reset the network for the changes to take effect—sometimes this is easy to overlook.
These printers don’t have much processing power, so hitting them with SNMP polling might not be the best move. It’s better to isolate them network-wise if you can and reduce the traffic on them. Just remember to save the settings, or they’ll revert after a reset, which is bound to happen as you try to use SNMP.
