I recently installed Ubuntu 26, and now my sound quality is terrible—it sounds like I'm listening through a tin can. I'm not very experienced with troubleshooting this sort of issue and have tried a bunch of random commands. I've installed and reinstalled PipeWire, ALSA, and PulseAudio, but I still can't figure it out. I'm feeling pretty lost and would appreciate any help!

It sounds like a common issue. Did you know that some laptops use audio enhancements to improve sound quality? Unfortunately, Linux often doesn't replicate those settings by default. I recommend trying out EasyEffects, which can help you fine-tune your sound. You might find specific EQ presets or tuning guides for your model on GitHub too! It could make a big difference without deep-diving into system settings.

That's interesting! I didn't have any extra audio effects installed, so it must be something else. The install was completely fresh, just an empty drive.
