I came across a brand new Ryzen 7 5800X3D selling for about $275 (1000 PLN) nearby. Typically, I notice that these AM4 X3D chips are priced higher—like the 5500X3D also around $275 and both the 5700X3D and 5800X3D often costing at least $500. I'm debating whether to go for it or hold onto my 5700X until RAM prices drop and then upgrade to AM5. What do you all think?

You could find a 5500X3D cheaper online, but honestly, the 5800X3D is a much better choice for performance. Just stick with what you have until you can afford AM5 if you’re not in a rush.

Don't overlook how much better the X3D performs, especially in gaming on the AM4 platform. It’s worth considering!

I got a 7800X3D on AliExpress for just $225 with a deal. But even so, if you can grab the 5800X3D for $275, that's still a solid choice!

What kinds of games do you play and at what resolution? If you're into something like RimWorld or Terraria, the X3D can really help with performance in late-game situations!

I'll be playing heavily modded RimWorld, Terraria, and Minecraft. I'm aiming for around 144 fps at 2K, so performance is key. I'm actually getting a used 4070 Super soon, so this setup will be solid.

Yes, definitely buy it! I've only seen these going for around $500 lately, so it’s a no-brainer.

Seriously, get it before someone else does—especially if it’s brand new and unopened. At that price, it won’t last long on the market! Check out the benchmarks I got with my X3D [link].

I have the 5800X3D and I’d totally buy another at that price. No hesitation! It’s a perfect fit for a small form factor build too.

Honestly, if you find the Ryzen 7 5800X3D for $275, you should snag it immediately. It's a top-tier AM4 gaming CPU and that price is a steal!

Drop everything and buy it! If you end up not using it, you can flip it on eBay for around $500!

It really depends on your gaming needs. The 5700X3D offers a decent boost over the 5700X—about 15-20% faster—but it’s not a monumental leap. If you can hold off, it might be worth waiting until AM5 becomes more affordable.
