I came across an AMD 6800 GPU on Facebook Marketplace that's listed for $280. The seller claims they used it for mining for about 3-4 months and stopped using it afterwards. They're offering to let potential buyers test it out in their garage. The card comes in great condition with the original box. I'm curious if buying a GPU that was used for mining could be problematic, and since I'm planning to use it for the next 4-5 years, is a non-XT version okay for my needs? Here are my current specs for context: CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER SC ULTRA GAMING, Motherboard: MSI B450-A PRO MAX, RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4-3000. Any insights would be appreciated!

$280 is pretty decent, but I’d highly recommend upgrading your CPU to something faster. The R5 2600 won't keep up, and I've seen the R5 5600/5600X going for $80 to $120 used. Just a thought!
The price seems fair for the used market, but keep in mind that you’ll likely face a CPU bottleneck since your Ryzen 5 2600 is slower than current standards. Also, make sure you have a solid power supply ready for it! If you can find an XT version down the line for about $330-350, that might be worth considering in the future. Just negotiate a bit if you can!
Thanks for the tips! Definitely worried about the CPU and PSU compatibility, but it's good to know there's room for negotiation.

Thanks for the feedback! I was already considering a CPU upgrade, just anxious about the mining history of the GPU.
