I'm looking to switch my gaming desktop from Windows 11 to a Linux distro. My setup is an i5 8500 with 16GB of RAM and an Nvidia T600, all connected to my TV in the game room. Since I mostly use it for gaming and some light web surfing, I'm considering Bazzite, CachyOS, and Nobara. I have very little Linux experience beyond using a Steam Deck, and I'd appreciate some advice on which distro would suit my needs best!

I'd go with Bazzite or Nobara; they're more beginner-friendly and stable. CachyOS can break easily, especially for someone new to Linux. Bazzite comes pre-configured for gaming and is similar to the Steam Deck setup. If you're up for something a bit more general-purpose, consider Kubuntu, but it might require a tad more setup to get your GPU drivers going.

If you're using it mainly as a home theater PC, I'd recommend Nobara. It has a solid setup for graphics drivers and gaming software, plus its community and wiki support are pretty helpful for new users!
