I'm in the process of upgrading my PC and considering picking up an RTX 2080 Ti this year (2026). I mainly use my setup for gaming titles like Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact, Elden Ring, and the Resident Evil series. Are there any major concerns I should be aware of, such as the lack of support for DLSS 4, before making this purchase? Here's my current setup:

- CPU: R5 5600G
- RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) 3200MHz DDR4
- PSU: FSP Hydro GD 650W Gold rated
- MOBO: B550M DS3H
- Case: Inplay Robin 101 Dual Chamber (Black)
- Monitor: ViewSonic 24' 144Hz

Thanks in advance!

The RTX 2080 Ti isn't a terrible choice, but it's starting to show its age. Performance-wise, it's slightly slower than newer cards like the 4060 Ti. Plus, it doesn't support frame generation, and you'll be limited with DLSS 4.5, which can impact your gaming experience. Just something to keep in mind!

If you’re eyeing a price around $200 on the used market, that’s a pretty solid deal! The price to performance ratio might be worth it, especially if you're primarily gaming at 1080p.

Yeah, it's close to that range, so it's tempting!

It really depends on the price you’re seeing. The 2080 Ti is pretty comparable to the RTX 3070 in performance, but it does have 11GB of VRAM, which is nice, albeit with worse power efficiency. Just keep in mind that DLSS 4.5 isn't going to work great on it; you might want to stick with DLSS 4.0.

Honestly, not much wrong with it for 1080p gaming. It could be a good match with a newer CPU like the 5500x3d since the 5600G isn't the best for gaming on its own, especially if you're utilizing its integrated graphics.
