What should I consider when bringing my PC overseas?

I'm moving to America in two months and I want to take my PC with me. It's a gift from my graduation, and I have an ITX build in a Deepcool CH160 mesh case. I'm flying with Cathay Pacific and will have a connecting flight to Hong Kong and Boston. Can anyone tell me if I can bring my PC, and what I need to do to prepare for the flight? I'd also appreciate any general tips for flying with a PC.

Definitely take out your graphics card and any tower cooler if you have one to prevent damage during transit.

When I ordered an EPYC workstation, they shipped me two separate boxes—one for the GPU and another for the chassis. It was a heavy setup due to the AIO cooler, but separating them made it easier for shipping.

When I moved from Europe to the US, I packed my GPU, CPU, and memory separately in my checked bag, securely wrapped. Honestly, buying a new power supply and case when you get there might save you a lot of hassle.

Are you bringing just your CPU or the entire PC setup? It makes a difference in how you should pack it.
