I'm considering whether to run my new 5080 at 1440p or 4K. I know it can handle 4K from the benchmarks out there, but they usually use ultra settings and ray tracing, which I don't plan to utilize. I'm looking for insight on the kind of frames per second (FPS) I can realistically expect at 4K with optimized settings. Specifically, if I turn off ray tracing, lower a couple of settings from ultra to high, and potentially use features like frame generation and DLSS, how well can I perform in terms of FPS?

I have a 5080, and I've been gaming at both 1440p (280Hz) and 4K (120Hz). I can easily hit 120 FPS on 4K without any issues by just tweaking the settings a bit. Honestly, I've found 4K to be smoother than getting high FPS at 1440p on my setup.
