I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup that I purchased back in late 2019. It's been almost 7 years since I last invested in a new GPU or CPU, so I'm hoping for some clear recommendations here. My budget is capped at $1000 for any and all upgrades. Below are the current specs of my system:
- Powerspec G706
- AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- NVIDIA RTX 2070 Super 8GB GDDR6
- 16GB DDR4-3200 RAM
- 1TB SSD
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I recommend upgrading your CPU, RAM, GPU, and power supply. Here’s a good build suggestion within your budget:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600XT 3.7 GHz 6-Core ($179)
- Memory: ADATA XPG 16GB DDR4-3200 ($99.99)
- Video Card: ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9070 Challenger 16GB ($599.99)
- Power Supply: SAMA G750 750W 80+ Gold ($70.99)
Total: $949.97.
If you can access a MicroCenter, consider their bundles too. They have good deals, but you might get just 16GB of RAM initially with the under $400 bundles. You can always add more later!

You could also consider the 9060XT 16GB if you really need something under $1000.
