I'm a bit overwhelmed trying to build my first PC and could really use some guidance. I've done some initial research, but I'm feeling lost with choices. Here's what I've got so far, based on what I've seen others recommend for budget and performance. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I enjoy playing during my downtime, mainly FPS games like Valorant, although I'm interested in trying Cyberpunk too. Here's my proposed build:

- **Monitor:** ASUS ROG Strix XG7ACMES-W 27" 255Hz QHD Fast IPS Gaming Monitor
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7700x
- **Motherboard:** ASUS ROG Strix B850-A Gaming WiFi (White)
- **GPU:** MSI GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Trio OC White 16GB (not set in stone as I prefer a quieter option and want to avoid overspending)
- **RAM:** TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB Eco 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6000MHz
- **Storage:** Samsung 990 PRO 1TB NVMe SSD
- **PSU:** Seasonic Focus GX-750 750W 80+ Gold ATX 3.1 White
- **CPU Cooler:** ASUS ROG Strix LC II 360 ARGB White AIO

I've heard some people say my build might be overkill for just playing Valorant. I want reassurance that I'm going in the right direction and perhaps some suggestions on how I can optimize this build without breaking the bank!

This build is not bad; you just need to ask a few more questions. What’s your budget, and where are you located? Those details will help people guide you better. Also, for casual games, 16GB of RAM should be more than enough—so I’d say stick with that.

And about that monitor: might want to consider something a bit less flashy. A 144Hz monitor should be great and will save you some money. That way, you can boost the specs for the CPU or GPU down the line if you want!

Totally agree! The jump from 144Hz to 255Hz is not that noticeable, especially for casual play. Focus on what you really need!

If you're eyeing Cyberpunk, definitely go for the 16GB on the GPU and maybe consider waiting a bit before purchasing. The hardware market is shifting, and prices on some components are likely to drop, especially GPUs and RAM. You might also want to check out X3D variants for AMD processors if you're looking for better gaming performance. Ultimately, spend smartly on a good GPU than overspending on a cooler or that top-end monitor!

Hey there! First off, don't stress about the gender-related comments. Building a PC is for everyone! As for your setup, it looks solid but I would suggest reassessing the cooler. There are more affordable options that work just as well, like the Thermalright AIO, which can save you some cash. Also, you might not need the Ryzen 7 if you're mainly gaming—consider downgrading to a Ryzen 5 to save money without sacrificing much performance. Lastly, tools like PCPartPicker can really help you stay organized and compare prices!

Exactly! And don’t forget to think about your budget range. If you provide that info, folks here can give you more specific recommendations!
