How Do I Switch from XFCE to KDE Plasma While Keeping My Customizations?

I'm looking to transition from my current XFCE desktop environment to KDE Plasma mainly because of its improved Wayland support with NVIDIA. I have a custom GTK theme and setup that I want to replicate in KDE. My main priorities include having a similar look with the following features: a start menu similar to Whiskermenu, smaller padding on the "Icons-Only Task Manager," smaller applet icons, a smaller clock font, window decorations in the Arc-Blackest style, sharp window corners, and no animations. I've noticed that Plasma doesn't respect my icon theme for applets, and I'm having trouble customizing its CSS properties. My goal is for the KDE theme to resemble how Nobara looked when it was using GNOME by default. I can provide a screenshot for reference if necessary. Here's an example of the look I want to achieve: https://debugpointnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Nobara-38-Desktop.jpg

Switching to KDE can be a bit tricky, especially with your specific customizations. Since KDE uses Qt rather than GTK, your current GTK theme won't transfer over. For the menu, you might consider looking for KDE menu alternatives or tweaking the default one to resemble Whiskermenu as much as possible. Customizing applet icons is a bit limited, but you can adjust some settings within the panel configuration. Also, some users have found success using the "System Settings" to get similar font sizes and padding adjustments. Try browsing around KDE's themes in the store, you might find something close to what you're looking for.

I completely understand your desire to maintain a consistent theme while migrating. One option is to explore Qt5CT or QT6CT which can help in applying Qt themes. However, keep in mind that not all components are customizable to the same degree as they were in XFCE. For mimicking the Nobara look, you might want to manually tweak your desktop settings and explore the KDE forums for specific tweaks made by other users. If you share a screenshot, the community might be able to help you out with exact settings.
