Hey everyone! I'm building my first all-white PC and really trying to balance aesthetics with solid performance. I'm focusing on how the R7 7800X3D works with the Asus ROG STRIX B850-A GAMING WIFI motherboard. I've read it has great performance and temperatures without being too expensive. However, I've seen some people recommend the B650 chipset instead. My main objective is high FPS competitive gaming, ideally playing at 1440p with the ability to hit 240Hz. I want to ensure everything in my build works well together, especially since I'm set on a specific GPU and case. If you have any suggestions or alternatives for my build, I'm open to hearing them. Thanks!

Yeah, that combo should do just fine! The R7 7800X3D is a beast for gaming and the B850 motherboard supports it well. You’ll definitely get good performance at 1440p for those competitive matches.
Before recommending anything, could you clarify a couple of things? First, where are you located? Secondly, do you have access to a Micro Center? It could make a difference in pricing and availability!

I’m in the US. There’s a Micro Center opening nearby in a few months, but I can drive to one about 3 hours away if needed.
