I recently downloaded some malware, and after realizing what happened, I quarantined it. Now I'm wondering if it's safe to use my computer again after I changed all my passwords and updated my banking information. What steps should I take to ensure my system is secure before I go back to regular use?

Thanks for the advice! I ran Malwarebytes already and will try HitmanPro right after this. I did change my password on Google since they would need my phone number to access my account anyway. Unfortunately, I don’t have a USB drive to reinstall Windows, which worries me since the last time I tried, it took ages and was buggy, so I’m a bit scared it won’t work this time.
Just an FYI, the way you described your situation suggests you might still be at risk. Quarantining files is a good start, but when it comes to banking, I’d still be cautious. Make sure you have backups of anything important you might have on your computer. Do you know how to save those files to a USB drive? That way, you can manage your files safely.
