Looking for Budget-Friendly Advice on Building a Gaming PC

Hey everyone! I need some guidance on putting together a gaming PC since my current one just isn't cutting it. I bought this PC a few years ago hoping to upgrade later, but it's turned out to be pretty limited – I can't even swap out the CPU. I have some new RAM already, which is a pair of 16GB SODIMM sticks (32GB total) running at 3200 MHz. However, I'm struggling to find a compatible motherboard for my setup. Ideally, I'm looking for something that can handle games like Subliminal and The Complex: Found Footage since I want good graphics and 3D environments. But I'm not sure if there's a motherboard out there that works with SODIMM RAM for a gaming build. I really want to avoid wasting money on parts that won't fit. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your current setup might be a bit of a dead end. Unfortunately, there are no desktop motherboards that use SODIMM memory, so you're going to face compatibility issues if you try to keep that RAM. I recommend selling the RAM and considering a new desktop motherboard and DDR4 RAM instead. You’ll have a much better experience building your gaming rig that way!

Yeah, I totally agree! Best to start fresh with parts designed for gaming. It'll save you a lot of headaches.
