I'm currently running an AM4 setup and considering an upgrade to my CPU, motherboard, and RAM, but I'm not sure if it's the right move at this moment. My CPU has started to bottleneck my games, which is making me think it's time to upgrade. I currently have about $525 saved up, with the potential to reach around $650 by the end of the week. I'm also debating whether to stick with AM4 and just upgrade to something like the 5800X3D or go for the AM5 bundles available on Newegg. I want to make sure I get the best price-to-performance ratio while also considering future upgrade paths. I'm particularly wary about RAM prices since I would need to buy a bundle to stay within my budget. Additionally, I'm planning on getting more storage with an M.2 SSD and maybe a 9070XT graphics card in the future. Can anyone offer advice on whether it's better to go for the new AM5 setup or stick with my current build?

Upgrading to AM5 sounds like a smart move! If you can grab a 9700X or 7700X along with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, you'll set yourself up for the future. Your current system seems solid otherwise, plus it looks like you have a good storage solution already. Don't worry about your GPU yet; the 6700 should still hold up fine for now!
I'd suggest waiting a bit; we don’t know when the 5800X3D is coming back or what the price will be. If it ends up within your budget, that’s definitely a good option for an upgrade, but if you're open to it, a 5700X along with 32GB of RAM could also work out well.
If you're struggling with prices now, it might be worth considering a pre-built system temporarily. Prices are just nuts right now, and getting your build together piece by piece could end up costing more. If you have a Costco membership, they sometimes have really good deals on pre-builts!
Honestly, the AM5 bundle is where the real value is right now compared to just upgrading to a 5800X3D. At around $500 for the bundle, it's tough to pass up when considering long-term upgrades. AM4 prices are pretty crazy, so investing in AM5 could save you money in the long run.
