Hey everyone! I recently upgraded from an older monitor to an OLED (LG27GX704a-b) while using my 3060 Ti, and I'm noticing some temperature issues. Previously, the card was running at around 75-82°C, but now it's spiking up to 90°C. I've capped my FPS at 144, and when I use a fan to cool my setup, the temps drop to about 82-85°C. Is this a problem with airflow in my case? Is 90°C too hot for the card? I want to make sure I'm not damaging anything, and I'm still getting used to this new OLED. Any advice would be appreciated!

I don't think the OLED is asking for more power than your 3060 Ti can handle. Realistically, it's really a 1080p card at its peak performance. I recommend heading to the Nvidia control panel to limit frames to match your monitor's refresh rate and try switching your resolution to 1080p. Plus, using DLSS could give you better performance without pushing temps out of control.
First off, let's talk about your case design and airflow. What size is your case and how many intake fans do you have? Given that you've got a pretty compact setup and only a few fans, airflow might definitely be the culprit here. Taking off that glass panel helped lower the temps, which suggests that ventilation is an issue. You might want to consider getting a new case with better airflow or adding some more fans. Regarding upgrading to a 4070 for cooler temps, that's a good thought, but you’d want to stick to your budget and find something affordable. A solid GPU upgrade could help, but just enhancing airflow might solve most of your problems.
Also, if you're limiting FPS to match your monitor, you should see some temperature drop. Consider lowering to 1080p if you're not gaming at high resolutions primarily, as the 3060 Ti is best suited for that.

It sounds like airflow could definitely be your main issue! Just a small case can make it hard for components to cool down efficiently. Check if you can add more fans or maybe invest in a case with better airflow - it'll make a big difference!
