Hi everyone! I'm having a frustrating issue with saving photos I've modified in the Windows Photos app. For the last 2-3 weeks, I haven't been able to save any edited photos directly to a folder on my D: drive, which I've done without any issues in the past. I'm just resizing or cropping photos, but every time I try to save them, I get an error message saying, "impossible to save. An error occurred. Try again later." I can save the photos to my desktop or a folder on the C: drive without any trouble, and then move them to D:, but that's not really convenient. I've already tried repairing and resetting the Photos app, but nothing has worked. My laptop is an ASUS ROG Strix running Windows 11 Pro, version 25H2, and keeps updating regularly. The recent updates were for security on 15.04. Any advice on how to fix this issue? Thanks a lot!

It might help to check if your D: drive is on the same physical drive as C:. You can do this by looking in Disk Management. Sometimes, issues can arise if they're on different drives.
Have you tried checking whether you’re using the 'Save' or 'Save As...' option? Sometimes the choice can affect where the file goes. Just a thought!
I've tried both, but I still get the same error.
Funny enough, I had a similar problem before. I updated my Nvidia software, and it fixed everything for me. Sounds odd, but sometimes drivers can affect app functionalities. Glad to hear that's not the issue for you, but it’s worth checking your drivers overall!
Wow, after posting, I realized my Nvidia software wasn't up to date. I updated it, and now I can save without any issues! Not entirely sure why that worked, but I’m just happy it’s fixed now!

They are actually on the same physical drive.
