Are Captcha Scams Really a Thing?

Has anyone encountered these captcha scams where you complete a captcha, and then somehow they manage to access your financial details or banking information? I'm aware that the common advice is to avoid doing the captcha altogether, but are there any telltale signs that might indicate a captcha is fraudulent?

Yeah, captcha scams are definitely real. The trick isn't usually the captcha itself, but rather the way it’s designed to make the page seem credible. Often, after you complete the captcha, you'll be led to fake login pages or malicious scripts that try to collect your info.

Totally! I've seen some really sketchy captchas that mimic legit services like Cloudflare. They often fail on purpose and then trick you into running some questionable commands or giving out your info. Just avoid running any strange commands that they might ask you to enter.

Exactly, if it seems off, trust your gut! It's better to be safe than sorry.
