I'm planning a new PC for web design, photo editing, video work, animation, AI workloads, and gaming. My current system has an i7-11700F, ASUS Z590 motherboard, 32GB DDR4-3600 memory running at only 2133, an RTX 4070 Ti, three Samsung NVMe drives, a Corsair H115i AIO, and a Corsair RM850x power supply.
I'm considering moving to an Intel Core Ultra 7 270K with a Z890 motherboard and 32GB of DDR5-6400, while carrying over the 4070 Ti and all three NVMe drives. The proposed build also includes a new Thermalright AIO and a 1000W MSI power supply.
I suspect the 11700F is limiting the 4070 Ti in some situations, and I have the budget for a major upgrade, but I want to avoid spending money unnecessarily. My main display is a 34-inch 3440x1440 144Hz ultrawide, and I may eventually replace it with an OLED ultrawide.
What parts should I actually reuse? Is the RM850x powerful and modern enough to keep, or would a 1000W replacement make sense for future upgrades? Can I reuse the Corsair AIO with the new platform, and is a full platform change worthwhile for this mix of productivity and gaming? I'd also appreciate OLED ultrawide suggestions for both gaming and color-sensitive work.

The Corsair AIO may be reusable if you still have the correct mounting hardware for the new socket. Check Corsair's compatibility and bracket list before buying another cooler. That said, liquid coolers generally have a shorter practical lifespan than power supplies, so replacing an older unit is reasonable if you want fresh hardware and a warranty.
The RM850x is a strong, well-regarded unit and should be perfectly adequate with a 4070 Ti. Unless it has developed a fault, the new build has unusual cable or clearance requirements, or you move to a much more power-hungry graphics card later, replacing it with a 1000W model is mostly optional future-proofing rather than a necessity.
That makes sense. I was mainly thinking ahead to a possible 5080, but even then the 850W unit may still be enough depending on the rest of the system.
Before replacing the platform, fix the memory configuration. DDR4-3600 running at 2133 can leave noticeable performance on the table, particularly in CPU-limited games. Enable the memory profile in firmware and confirm stability. It is worth testing the 11700F at proper memory and boost settings before deciding that the CPU is definitely holding back the 4070 Ti.
I tried enabling the faster memory setting previously and didn't notice much improvement, but I'll give it another careful attempt and verify the actual clocks afterward.
A platform upgrade could help with CPU-heavy games and productivity, but the best choice depends on which applications dominate your workload. AM5 is also worth comparing rather than assuming the Intel option is automatically better. Since the 4070 Ti is staying, make sure the new CPU provides a noticeable benefit at your 3440x1440 resolution; otherwise, the money might be better directed toward more memory, storage, or the OLED monitor.
I'm considering AM5 as well, but I'm still comparing its productivity performance for Photoshop, video editing, and AI workloads against the Intel options.

I'll check the mounting support first. If I change platforms, I may still choose a new cooler rather than risk reusing an older AIO.
