Why did my display suddenly become overly saturated and high-contrast?

Since turning on my computer today, the display colors have looked dramatically oversaturated, almost as if the contrast and saturation were doubled in a photo editor. I installed Windows updates KB5120708 and KB5121003 last night, so I'm wondering whether one of them changed my color settings. Restarting the computer did not help, and I haven't found an obvious setting to restore the normal appearance. My system has an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060, integrated AMD Radeon graphics, and an older LG IPS Full HD monitor. What could have caused this, and how can I return the display to its previous color settings?

Check Windows Color Management from the Start menu. Look under the monitor’s device profile and make sure an unexpected ICC color profile hasn’t been applied. If there are multiple profiles, try removing the unusual one or setting the previous/default profile instead.

I checked the device section and only see one profile, which appears to be the same one I had before. I’m not sure whether I should inspect the advanced or all-profiles sections because I don’t really understand those settings.

The graphics driver control panel may have switched color settings during the update. Open the NVIDIA Control Panel and check the display color settings, especially whether output color is being controlled by the driver or the monitor. Reset those options to their defaults, and also look for any Windows display color filters or HDR settings that may have been enabled.
