For the past few weeks, the email address connected to my Apple Account has stopped working with iMessage and FaceTime. I can still send regular text messages from my iPhone using my phone number, but I can't send or receive blue-bubble messages on my iPad, iPod touch, or other Apple devices. Apple Support, several senior advisors, and even an engineering review have all told me that the account was blocked after being reported for spam, but they haven't explained what triggered it. I only use messaging to contact friends and family, and the problem began shortly after I signed in to FaceTime on an iPod touch. Is there anything else I can try to recover access without creating a new Apple Account?

If Apple’s engineering team has already reviewed the case and upheld the block, there may not be a way to have that specific iMessage and FaceTime identity restored. Apple generally won’t disclose the signals behind spam or abuse decisions. The practical workaround may be to create a new Apple Account for those services, although you should first ask support whether your existing messages and purchases can remain connected to the old account.

I’m worried that switching accounts could make my existing messages inaccessible. The account is about 13 years old, so I’d really prefer to keep it if another review is possible.
