I'm building my first PC and have a budget of £750–£1,000 for the computer itself, not including a monitor or peripherals. I'm based in the UK and would mainly use it for gaming, especially Roblox, Apex Legends, and Counter-Strike, but I'd also like it to handle games such as Elden Ring and Dead by Daylight. A balanced build around this budget could use a Ryzen 5 5600X, a B550 motherboard with Wi-Fi, 16GB of DDR4 memory, a 1TB NVMe SSD, and a Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB. Add a decent 650W power supply and an airflow-focused case, and the total should come close to £1,000. That would be plenty for your esports games and should handle more demanding titles well at 1080p or 1440p.

An X3D processor is especially good for gaming, although availability and pricing can vary. Keeping the total near £1,000 would leave room for a monitor, keyboard, and mouse if you still need them.
