GTA VI does not have official PC system requirements yet, and the PC version is expected to arrive well after the console release. Still, I'm curious how the RTX 3050, 3060, 4050, 4060, 5050, and 5060 might perform when the game eventually launches. Based on the visuals, the console hardware, and likely optimization, which of these cards do you think will be the minimum for a reasonably smooth 1080p experience?

A reasonable guess is that the RTX 4060 or RTX 5060 would be the safer starting point for 1080p, while an RTX 3060 might manage playable performance with reduced settings. The xx50 cards could run it, but they’re more likely to require low settings and upscaling. This is still speculation until actual benchmarks are available.
There’s no reliable way to know yet. The PC version hasn’t been announced with hardware requirements, and the quality of the eventual port and optimization will matter a lot. Every one of these cards might technically launch the game, but that doesn’t mean they’ll deliver a smooth frame rate or high settings.
The console version’s performance won’t translate directly to PC. Consoles use fixed hardware, aggressive optimization, and reconstruction or upscaling techniques, so a PC card may need more headroom to produce comparable image quality and frame rates. I wouldn’t assume that matching the console GPU automatically guarantees a good PC experience.
VRAM could become an important factor, especially at higher texture settings and resolutions. Cards with 8GB may still work at 1080p, but 12GB or more would provide more breathing room for a large open-world game. For a comfortable experience, I’d wait for official requirements and independent benchmarks rather than choosing based only on the model number.

That makes sense. I’m mainly hoping to avoid buying a card that technically runs it but needs everything turned down.
