I'm running the latest versions of Windows 11 and Microsoft Edge, and I'm trying to remove Edge completely. Several guides I found no longer work: I couldn't edit the JSON file that controls the region, Wintoys no longer shows the Digital Markets Act option, and a console-based method I tried didn't do anything. Is there currently a reliable and safe way to uninstall Edge, or is it better to leave it installed and simply avoid using it?

There isn’t really a safe, supported way to remove Edge completely from current Windows 11 builds. It’s integrated into parts of the operating system and may be used to display certain system dialogs or embedded web content. If you don’t want to use it, the practical approach is to change your default browser and leave Edge installed.
That makes sense, although it still feels wasteful to have roughly 2 GB taken up by a browser I don’t use.
