Is anyone else seeing connectivity problems with Cogent in the Los Angeles area? I'm noticing possible service disruptions and want to confirm whether this is a broader outage or something limited to my connection.

Cogent has reported two separate fiber cuts affecting Los Angeles and parts of the Southwestern United States. Customers may see outages or increased latency, and some transoceanic traffic to Asia-Pacific destinations could also be impacted. Engineers and a third-party fiber provider are working on restoration, but there isn’t an estimated repair time yet.
We’re seeing the same thing. With multiple fiber cuts involved, I wouldn’t count on service being fully restored today.
