What case and components would finish my 1440p gaming build?

I'm upgrading from a 14-year-old Corsair 300R AM4 system and want a good-value case that looks polished, whether bought new or used. I already have the CPU, cooler, RAM, and motherboard, which cost $425 together. I still need an NVMe drive, graphics card, and power supply, so recommendations for those are welcome too.

For the GPU, I'm considering a Radeon RX 6950 XT for $365, RX 7900 XT for $400, or RX 9070 XT for $550. The goal is 1440p AAA gaming, and I'm buying in the United States.

Aesthetically, I like clean builds with glossy surfaces, minimal RGB, tempered glass, and possibly wood accents. I may even add a small artificial plant. A black case would probably coordinate best with the components, while my white desk and monitor provide contrast. This is my first time choosing parts with appearance as a major priority.

The Montech King 95 Pro could work especially well with the minimalist display-build idea. Its curved glass and clean shape can look good with restrained lighting, and a small fake plant would fit the theme. If you want to spend less, the Montech TG3 is another inexpensive option worth checking, including on the used market.

I found a reasonably priced used King 95 nearby, so I’m definitely considering it now.

The MSI MAG Forge 321R Airflow could fit your style well. It has a clean layout, good ventilation, and enough glass to show off the components without requiring heavy RGB. It also tends to be a solid value compared with more premium showcase cases.

That one looks really clean, so it’s currently near the top of my list.

For the case, prioritize airflow first: look for a mesh front or other unrestricted intake and proper exhaust. After that, aesthetics are mostly personal preference. Fractal, Antec, and Lian Li all have attractive options with wood accents, so browsing black or wood-finish models should give you plenty to choose from.

That makes sense. I’ll narrow it down by airflow first and then choose based on the look I prefer.

For the graphics card, the RX 7900 XT at $400 sounds like the value sweet spot if the card is in good condition. The RX 9070 XT should be faster and newer, but $550 is a significant premium for 1440p. The RX 6950 XT is still capable at $365, though it uses more power and has an older feature set. Make sure the power supply is a reputable unit with enough wattage for whichever card you choose.
