Why aren’t my AWS promotional credits showing after completing the required activities?

I created a new AWS account on August 5, 2026, and received the initial $100 in promotional credits. I also completed activities involving EC2 and RDS, which I understood would qualify me for additional $20 credits, but those credits never appeared.

The original $100 was used by Amazon Bedrock. My August billing statement shows $172.41 in charges, a $100 promotional credit, $13 in tax, and a final amount of $85.41. The AWS Console now shows $0 in remaining credits.

I opened Support case 178603278100815 about the missing credits, but it was closed after there was no response for seven days. I would like to know whether the activities were completed correctly, where AWS shows the activity requirements and completion status, whether Free Tier or account status can affect eligibility, and whether Support can restore credits that were not applied. Has anyone successfully received the additional credits after completing the required tutorials and resources?

These credits are usually applied automatically, so the most likely issue is that one of the activities did not match the exact requirements. AWS may require you to follow a specific tutorial and create the resources in a particular way rather than simply launching an EC2 instance or database. Check both the promotional-credit section of the main dashboard and the Billing credits page for the activity instructions and status. When the requirements are met, credits may appear within about ten minutes. You should also reopen the Support case, since the seven-day closure generally means AWS was waiting for a reply. Finally, set up billing alerts—Bedrock usage can consume promotional funds very quickly.
